I am a Resident Studio Artist at  ABBEY WALK GALLERY, GRIMSBY  where I am able to work on my paintings and display my work, both permanently in my studio and also in Gallery 2 (upstairs)

All displayed work is available to purchase from the Gallery. The Studio is open Tues - Sat 9am - 5pm

Landscape, however aesthetic, is far more than a mere view or a panorama. Looking remotely does not tell the full story – it is a mere taster. It needs to be experienced in the context of both history and the moment, in the reality for All and the Self.
Landscapes, both literal and personal, are the main forces that influence my work.
I find that I need to experience the reality of an environment to be able to fully immerse myself in my final piece.
A landscape is not just a visual – it is a feeling, a smell, a noise, even a taste – like the salt on your lips from a walk by the sea.
I need the validity of the primary experience to be able to feel that my work has the same validity.
My work is not static and moves about within the wide genre of Landscape: Coastal, Country, Urban and Personal, while retaining the core principles of the personal experience and feeling.
